I’ve been drawn to patterns since childhood. In surface design, patterns are generally repeated in order to make a meta-pattern and these variations are endless. When I learned about Zentangle, created by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas in 2010, it was invaluable as a teaching method, learning to draw “one line at a time.”
Since its inception as a method, it has given thousands of people
an entry into drawing and art making.
