Making mud pies, using chalk on a blackboard, gardening, sitting on a sandy beach, doing anything that gets dirt beneath my nails is bound to be a short-lived activity. I do like the outcome of much encaustic work but have given away all my tools to someone who likes it ever so much more.
Occasionally, I select from a different menu either with materials or ideas. Experimentation can be rewarding.
